Seasonal Changes

Title:Seasonal Changes
Written by: Lyanne Low

Oh, how unique,
This planet is in many ways,
Natural views and scenary,
Special in every way.

Spring, when all the flowers bloom,
And kids come out to play,
The sun shines ever-so brightly,
With it's brilliant yellow rays.

And spring is the time,
When sweet flowers bloom,
With freshness in the air,
And in the distance, can be heard a calling,
Sweet song-birds sing their praises to Mother Earth.

Months later, summer comes to visit,
Where cool fresh air is replaced by hot sunny weather,
Visits by the beach on hot dry days,
With ice-cool lemonade,
And sweet-sour cool drinks,
Ah... Summer's a time to cool down,
Time to relax!

Autumn, also known as fall,
Comes along with brilliantly warm colours,
The colours on the leaves represent and remind us,
About the Earth's natural beauty, and seasonal changes.

Brown, red, orange, yellow,
Heart-warming colours that prepare us for winter,
Breezes of cool air breathe on fallen leaves,
And soon, the freezing chill shall come.

Winter is here, with ice and snow,
Once gentle and graceful willow trees are frozen up in frost,
Sheen transparent ice covers frozen ponds and lakes,
Reflecting it like glass, crystal and sheer diamond.

Days go by, and the weather gets warmer,
Ice and snow melt and return to water.
Spring is arriving once more with warmer air,
These are our seasonal changes,
Differences in the world.

Views of Life

Title:Views Of Life
Written By:Lyanne Low
Inspiration from "The Best Things In Life" by Ng Shi Hui.

It's a sweet silent night,
As I take my first step out of that rosewood-made door.
Starring up into the bright starry sky,
The stars seem to be blinking to me,
As many thoughts run through my mind....

I walk over by the garden bench,
The old wooden bench left over all these year
With a few cobwebs here and there, and thin, pale-coloured vines,
Curling all around.

Sniffing and smelling the sweet and pleasant-scenting flowers,
Yellow daffodils, red roses, and pink tipped-tulips....
A turn and I see a piece of beautiful artwork, making me wonder if I'm in dreamland...
A crystal and marble made fountain, decorated with chips of diamond and glass,
And as the teardrop-shaped water droplets splash about, it seems as if I'm watching dancing ice..
A royal scene indeed, as the centerpiece of the garden.

Deeper shall I walk into this garden of mysteries, palace of secrets, road with no endings.
Marble white arches, polished to shine,
With vines of green climbing and flowers of white.
Lush green bushes and hedges of evergreen.
And poking out the blue-green and mint-coloured leaves,
Are white tipped flowers, or yellow and red petals.

And as I look afar into the distance,
I see a dark, blood-coloured ball, orange and pale yellow at the edges,
Rising above the icy white peaks of the lush green mountains.
And in the distance, a bird-calling can be heard,
And soon the source comes into sight,
A bright red-breasted robin,
Sweetly singing a soft melody in the pale blue sky...

And soon, I see statues made of marble, gold, silver and bronze,
With rubies, diamonds, crystals, emeralds, sapphires and every precious jewel you could think of,
Along with lacy intricate designs and patterns decorating the bases and statues,
And suddenly,
As I stop in surprise, and sit up in bed, I realize, I was in wonderland, and it was all just a dream.

Doubt

Title:Doubt
Written by: Lyanne Low

With all but doubt,
We live our lives.
Being insulted, infuriated,
It's unbearable...

The doubts and thoughts,
Are all weaving intricate webs in my mind.
I don't know who to trust,
What to believe,
Confusion is senile.

In this crazy and unknowing world,
No one can fully place trust in anything or anyone,
'Cause its full of lies and betrayal.
Doubting and hesitation is necessary and natural,
Living in this unfair world.

And though I walk through this disturbing place,
This road of nothing but cold, black hardness,
I hope that one day, when all doubts, troubles and problems are gone,
I'll see the bright light at the end of the tunnel, leading my way,
The bright light that shines and disintegrates all doubts.
